Race report from icerace in Sweden.
« on: February 13, 2006, 02:46:55 AM »
Here is some racereport from this weekends iceraces.

The morning starts with traning 3 laps on a course who was very "tricky" only 140 km/h at straight.
We were 30 guys in my class and only 16 goes to final.

After 30min ,first qualifie 4 laps  :

Got a very good start and got the "holeshoot" ,but one guy passed me after first turn   and then my racepace were on... got him a at last turn after 3 laps and won the first qualifie! 8)

Then a rest for 30 min again.
Have to turn some loose nuts but no problem. :o

Time for next qualifie:

A new good start and were second after turn one,got in a battle with someone with a ugly "H...a" Cr 500 and a raced him to the ground with a block pass,no more MR nice guy

Went after the first guy and catches him at lap 3 and rest was history,a new victory for the Green Team 8).

One hour rest to final:
Put in some gas and everthing were in order.

The temperature start raising and were +1-2 degrees at finaltime and it start worry me a lot  :?

A poor start at final got me at fifth position after first turn and I begin to
pass one guy after each lap,the final runs 6 laps and when I were close to
the second placed guy I noticied some problem with throttle it wasn?t returning after full throttle  :(

Lean me over at 140 km/h at straight and pulled out the chocke and managed to keep third place to the end.
Were some scary moments sometimes when it got stuck at half throttle in turns :P

Conclusion, use alcohol in gasoline when temperature is at +3 or -3

Doordie,

I assume you finished as number uno! Congratulations and keep up the good work. I'll have to practice to beat you this summer... (I'll bring my 125 so I can ride properly).

Hi Guys a new report if you care to read it! :-D

Sitting here and my body hirts like hell.

Another race weekend at ?rsunda Lake just performed.
A day with snow, cloudy and lousy sight and minus 5 degrees but what the H..l ,it?s a race day.
Practice went well but it was very HARD slippery ice this day.Everybody had some problem to menage
to "keep it" on wheels.

First qualifie I did a ordinare start and were 4`th at first turn but a a..-hole(sorry) braking so hard so I hit he?s backwheel and went down.... :x
I keep the engine running when sliding down at 100km/h until it stopped.Up and away ,saying some pretty "words" .
After 4 laps I running in at 10th position, manage to pass 10 anyway. :-D

Next qualifie I were hot  got a holeshoot and won that qualifie-race. 8-)

Time for final after 1 hours rest.

The guy who had run me down earlier placed at the side of me at starting line and I thought "payback time" :-D

The rubberband went and we were away....The Mean Green Machine talked and I got a new holeshoot
and after 6 laps the first overall victory was mine.............!!!!!! :-D :-D :-D

Got a nice "bucket"(don?t know the word)!

Alan,

Pink is Doordies colour!  :-D

Well done Doordie! I was bragging about you at work today "A fried of mine from Sweden... bla bla bla". The English are very impressed with exotic things like 'ice', 'snow' and polar bears.

Keep up the pace, you're on a winning streak!!

Roger (525EXC) just participated in his first ever race (M?lardalens MC Klubb). Maybe it's time for me to join the race generation? Or maybe I should just buy me one of these new Nintendo DS?
