Has anybody used the solid bar mounts in place of the rubber ones :?: Just wondering if there is any side effects to using them.

Wouldnt the vibration be aweful ?  Seems like it might be an arm killer.

I have them on my bike and I'll never go back to rubber mounts.

Between the Pro Tapers and the solid mounts the vibrations are actually less. The Pro Tapers really kill off vibration when they aren't isolated. The front of the bike has a much more solid feel when pushing into tight corners as well.

I'm with you on this Hoop. Less vibes. Pro Tapers and Pro Taper adjustable top clamp. Winning combo. Recommended!

I'm running pro taper big bars so I might just try those solid mounts.

I`ve machined solid mounts from POM, a realy hard plastic material.
Recomended, since the bolts in the original mounts bend quite easely...
I use hardened bolts for the oversize bar clamps. (12,9)
Them originale ones kinda ruins your race after a small crash!
Low-cost racing was the idea... Used to be...

Where did you get these solid mount? Can you get more solid polyurethane mounts for the KX?  I found even in my last 250 the stock rubber mounts feel mushy, good for vibs I guess, but def. don't feel solid.

I got mine from kelly's Kawasaki here in Mesa, but i'd be willing to bet you can find them at any online place. They are made by FastCo and they're ~ 15 - 16 dollars.

I'm with the majority, I moved to pro tapers and solids. IT cut down the vibes by about 50%. and I got both from Monkey Butt.
