Should we crash the party?

Make it a Big Bore 2 stroke meet.

I would if I could - but not as an adversary. Now days they are no longer the red-brigade but another group of big bore 2-stroke afficionados (like us) riding a bike that is no longer produced.  Maybe we should unite against the 4-stroke world (ha ha - sounds evil)! Happy New (riding) Year. Cam.

I agree with Cam.

I'm really not a fan of Honda, and the hard core "ride red" guys really annoy me

However, they ARE dirtbikers (which is cool.  as long as people dont give ME crap, I dont care what they ride!!)

and, i think we (i have a KX500 myself) have a lot more in common with the CR500 guys then any other dirtbikers now

KX500 is a hell of a lot more like a CR500 than say a KX250.... or god forbid a KX450...... those new fourstrokes annoy me....

That's what I'm talking about! Truth be told, let them red riders have the CR500, I'll take the KX500. Most don't mind, they usally admire the fact that you are riding a 500cc two stroke in general. To each his own, I'm hardcore Kawasaki (2ts) and they are hardcore Honda. To each his own. :-)

The cr500 riders I have met, have always respected me for riding a two stroke 500. They do joke about it being the wrong color. And of course I kid back about them being on the wrong color bike.
I agree with Cam and IridiumRed , they are fellow two stroke 500  riders, they too are fighting against extinction and making a two stroke statement. I like the idea of a National get together. I hope I can attend one someday.
Spring is here and the Mighty 500 wants to ride.

The only KX500 I have ever seen is the one I own. And I've only seen one CR500, it was old and rode hard, the loudest bike I've ever heard.
That CR5 is why I own a KX5, the guy told me they don't make the CR but Kawasaki still makes a 500. I got on the internet and found out 04 was going to be the last year. My local Kawi dealer couldn't find one, so I started calling Kawi dealers all across the country. After 23 dealers I thought I was to late but number 24 in Colorado had two left. So here I am a happy K5 owner.

P.S. I've never had any problems with Honda riders.
