Fitted this IMS tank I found on ebay  today. Should be handy for a couple of longer trips we've planned for later this month. Allways thought that looked rather big and cumbersome things but when aboard, looks like she'll be no worries at all. Saves carrying extra bottles of fuel.

I have the big IMS tank also. At first I hated the clear and wanted one in black, after riding a lot, I have come to appreciate the ease of telling how much fuel is left, even while riding. Also my black tank,I always overfilled because I couldnt see very well the fuel level. But with the IMS tank I never overfill it.  I really, really like having a lot of fuel along, I can ride over three hours. Does it look good? Not really, but it sure works good. Also with all that extra fuel, I can stop and give a quart or two to guys that are out of fuel.
Timbowe, sorry for bidding against you on that tank, but I wanted it for my next kx500.
Spring is here and the Mighty 500 wants to ride.

Ahh no worries! There seems to be plenty of kx spares floating around at the mo. I'm sure another will spring up soon.

I have one of these tanks for sale with a dry brake setup. Looks newer than this one. I dont have a Dry bank filler tank, but it is possible to use a standard hose type and just push in the plate as you fill. If any one is interested contact me by email afritts4u@yahoo.com
