Billetron on k5?
« on: September 28, 2022, 09:48:31 AM »
Hello to the old memebers who may remember my user name from years back, and hello to the members who don’t.

Anyways, I finally purchased a k5 a little over a year ago. I rebuilt the whole bike , crank, trans bearings, top end, had cylinder re plated, etc, everything is stock spec. After making the bike fresh, I figured out my reed block gasket is bad on my carb. Rideable, but runs very fat on bottom. Learned this at Lorettas.

I’m a mechanic by trade. A guy just brought me his yz250 with a 38mm billetron. He doesn’t want it on his bike since he just seized it. So I offered to trade the work out for the billetron. Lectron says no way it will work on any 500. Does anyone here have or know of anyone using a billetron? Or is the go to for the 500’s a 44mm?

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I have no input on the Billetron, but yes the 44 is a good choice.
