New KX250 owner just need to figure out the years for frame and engine

im a new owner of a 1989 kx250 which i got from a buddy for cheap as it has sat for 3 years but the VIN and frame stickers show that its an 89 as it says 1989 kx250G but here is the issue the engine say KX250EE does that mean its an 87 engine? i need to know for parts sourcing any help would be Great Thanks

its actually a numbers matching engine for the year i used your wicked list to figure that out, but its kx250EE012316 which is an 89 engine which would match my 89 frame Thanks for the killer info Sandblaster
