Hey fellas, on the magneto rotor there is a black ring on the outside edge which faces the stator. I got a bit carried away with the wire wheel and filed it down a bit in a few parts. Its supossed to be about 2mm thick all the way around but now its a bit wavy, some parts being 0.5-1mm thick.
To be honest im not sure what its actually for because as far as i can tell all the generating magnets are on the inside. Could someone please tell me what it its purpose is? have i broken it? and if so is there a way i can fix it.
