Does anyone know who this Ryan Cates is that did a 310ft motorcycle jump on Saturday?   Does anyone know what brand or cc of bike he was on ?  I may not have spelled his name correctly. I also dont know where the jump occurred. Any info would be appreciated. The video is on the MSN home page under videos.
Spring is here and the Mighty 500 wants to ride.

I don't know either, but I saw the jump, and it was sweet!

Check out http://www.racerxill.com/110105_Bench_Ammo.cfm They have the whole story and links to a couple different videos.

Ryan Capes is a freestyle guy from Washingtion state where the jump occured.

Yes, it is totally insane!

I saw Ryan Capes at a freestyle show when I lived down in Oregon last spring. They also have a segment on him in either Crusty's 8 or 9 that shows him doing his last record jump of 260something. Then he was riding a white CR250 with green wheels sponsored by SoBe I believe. Made that jump look easy too.
Rock it 'til the wheels fall off!

what is amazing is he alost over-shot his landing ramp....

how big of a set of *&^% does it take to get your bike up-to 70 MPH, go off a ramp, planning to jump 300+Ft, flying through the air for 3-4 seconds, which to him probably seemed like an eternity, and then land and keep it upright....  8)  (bigger ones than I have!!!)
