I'm thinking it won't be long after the release of the KXF450, and we'll see someone out there putting a good ol' RELIABLE 500cc two stroke engine in it.  That'd be schweet! 8)

I wonder if we put a bug in the Kawasaki peoples ear about that other AF bike out there if they would send someone a frame to do it!!!

Ok I'll wake up now.

Time to revive this. I think I'm going to put a bug in the local Kawi dealers ear and see what he thinks. The new 450's should hold the 500 pretty well. My brother-in-law is an excellent welder, I trusted him with my life numerous times when we raced off road vw buggy class, has or has held numerous certifications and has all the equipment, tends to be a perfectionist, which is just what you need to make this thing look great. Just need the chassis, maybe I can find some cart guy or quad guy that would be generous.

The dream continues!!!!  :D   Keep the faith.

Its easy get a KX250F/450F frame and stuff a kx500 motor in it. Done. All you need is money.
(with a few mods of course) I would make one if someone would foot the bill hehehe. $6500+ for the KX250F or 450  couple grand for a KX500 donor bike.

I read that the CR model started using the CR 125 frame instead of the 250

Well...

The Time is Upon us...(said in Correct English so as to NOT require Translation FOR/BY "Demographic" :D)

I'm involved in Sponsoring a rider for the '06 Nationals; therefore, we'll be getting 4 Bikes and tearin' one down for parts...specifically...an Engine for Shipping "to" and "from" the week to week destinations (We'll be leavin' the bike with other-folks and shippin' our motors back-n-forth between the Engine Builder and the "Race-Track"...this allows us to Fly Home, Leave the Bike in the Region that we'll be racin' in for a few weeks/months and still have Fresh Motors EVERYWEEK!!! Often bringin' them along as "Luggage"! )

So...guess what that means?

We won't have to wait too long for yours-truly to stuff a K5 motor in a K4.5 frame!
I saw this coming when I was at a test in Japan last November.
We took some measurements off the 450 last-nite and guess what?

PLENTY OF ROOM!

Brrrrraaaaaaaap!

Any chance the kx500 will be back? Did you see Kawasaki Engineers looking at putting a 500cc in the new kx450 frame while you where in Japan?

No...I was there on biz and dropped in on a Test Session of an early "Beta-Version" of the current bike.

The 500 is dead.
Long live the King.

It'll be a Helluva "After-Market" from here on out!

BTW...there's no F'n way I'm callin' it an "A/F"...ain't gonna happen!

It'll be an SR500TG! HA!
