Some have complained about after market rebuild kits not fitting correctly. I used a Pro X kit and a Tusk piston. I clean the seal grooves out so they look like they are new. One small bit of debris will cause the piston to bind. Before installation I clean the seals as they are generally dirty straight out of the package. Also, I use some brake fluid to lubricate the seals. The piston should go in with finger pressure only.

As shown it likely won't turn well...
However, it should do great in a straight line  :-D
By lowering the front end a bit more and potentially raising the rear a bit should get handling right back where it needs to be.

I could not find a 7/8 top bar clamp to fit a Scott's Damper on.
