kxpegger, here's my response on YT:
Pete in NW Vegas, if you got your KX500 in '08 you would've been 52 years old. I got mine in '18 and feel the same way as you, and like you I have plans, because with my back and neck problems I'll never ride it off road - on the other hand it'll make a nice dual purpose with lights/supermoto. My plans are this, because we're already on the cusp of electric bikes (though Alta went down the pan), and one day even 100cc 2-strokes might be banned, I need to buy a KX100 ASAP.
We'll still be able to ride our 100s into our 80s, have fun on 'em, be able to handle the power, ride some green lanes, pop down to the supermarket, pull the chicks, and they've even got littler wheels (not kids size), so that when we're so geriatric we find it hard to throw a leg over, LOL, we'll still be able to start them. So Pete, first it's sort out our KX500s for street use, then it's buy new KX100s and keep 'em boxed for a few years with a view to riding into our late 70s/80s!

You need to come to new zealand and race the 60+ vet class at the veterns motocross nationals.

im still yet to see one person entered in this class so i can shout him a beer.

I am only 31 and i can feel with every step why i shouldnt ride as much as i should  But again like yourself i plan on riding well into my 60s. keep it up
