Does anyone know a place to send your aluminum frame for heat treating? I tried a bike place, but they weren’t interested in doing a dirt bike’s frame.

I work in aerospace and HT a lot of aluminum. What condition requires you to HT? New to the whole K5 party so... just curious

I would guess he wants to relieve stresses in the frame and welds. Not really 'heat treating', more 'normalizing' but pretty much the same basic process. I would not think you would want an aluminum frame 'too' hard to allow it to flex some?
