48mm fork conversion on my 96
« on: October 18, 2017, 11:31:33 PM »
My question is if the a perimeter frame kx250 triple clamp set will fit on my kx 500? I'm wanting to put my 12 450 forks on my 500. Or does anyone have a 97-04 500 triple clamp set they want come off of? I cannot afford the pricy Emig racing setup.

The top bearing on the 250 is larger then the 500.
The 97-04 KX500 triples are a little tight but you can loosen them up with a drum sanding wheel.
Several people run them without sanding them but it could technically create some pinch points.

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
