Stock carb rebuild kit.
« on: May 06, 2017, 09:38:31 AM »
So I've come to the conclusion that my carb is out of whack and I don't think it's ever been cleaned.  I checked Rocky mountain and Moto and they just have there own rebuild kits and a Moose kit.  I don't need the Jets. Just all the o-ring and such.  Where can I buy a keihen kit from?
I also noticed my air screw was a little moist when I was attempting to dial in my setting.  I thought there might be a bad o-ring on the back of it?  No gas should leak past it at all right?

There is an o-ring underneath the jet block that can get worn out and ratty.  It was what was causing my carb to run rich.  It might be worth replacing that one as well; it was only around five bucks.

I think I bought it from this guy:

Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?

Don't buy jet kits from Rocky Mountain, or from e-bay....nothing against Rocky Mountain, but they do not sell genuine Keihin/Mikuni jets...they're aftermarket garbage.

Buy from JD Jets..

or from PJ...

Does anyone know what parts come in the kit that I can replace?  I probably don't need all of them...  I don't need 4 new float screws and gasket for instance.

If you call either one of the places I posted, you can buy individual jets.

Thanks yet again alward25.  Half or a third of the price for items off jetsrus versus other sites I have been looking at.
