Dirt bike weight distribution
« on: April 29, 2017, 03:03:32 AM »
Hey guys... Building my current bike made me think about weight distribution.. IF you have a reasonably accurate bath scale roll your front wheel up on it. Then your rear.. Let me know what the numbers are. Overall weight is not my concern... Just weight distribution. So, you can have your titanium infused magnesium laced 125 2T, I don't care...
Please include the make, model, and year.... More data is better... :-)

You're in luck. It's rainy and crappy in OKC today, and I'm waiting on Lunchbox to finish his KDX project. If I stay inside, Mrs Umberto will make me do stuff. I'll get you some data shortly.
Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?

I didn't weigh the 200, because it has an auxillary tank mounted for a long-distance ride my cousin and I have planned next month, but here is everything else.

Goliath - Front 128, Rear 115
Lunchbox's 04 250 - Front 108, Rear 127
05 KX 144 - Front 103, Rear 100
KTM 105 - Front 80, Rear 70
Not sure why my 04 is so weird, but it was Front 100, Rear 70

I used a digital shipping scale that I got from my store for weighing my eBay stuff.  I rolled the bike on the scale and moved it around until it reached a maximum weight.

I hope this helps!
