Yeah... There are tons of little improvements.
One that is visible in that last pic is the drain plug.
You'll note that there is plenty of meat there
Also visible is the removable main bearing inserts.
And billet is stronger then cast  :-o

I'll be putting together a more comprehensive list of improvements that I see as time goes on.

The only issue I see is that it would kill me to get them dirty and tarnished.  I think they would just end up on my mantle like Foxx said.
Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?

Vapor blast them and forget about it :-)

I'm looking at trying some new products like Sharkhide to help them maintain their luster longer..
But in the end, they are cases and will get dirty...

So that brings up another issue.
The TSR Billet cases look so good, I've got to do something different with the 2 piece clutch cover...

I had the part slip out of my holding fixture and gouged it up a bit  :|

But it's no biggie... I'm doing a bunch of fill work anyway...

Introducing "The Pit Viper" by Growler Racing. This specific pipe is for the KX500 that you are looking for more mid to top end out of. Also, this specific pipe is for running a electric starter in a Aluminum chassis or KTM conversion... If interested, talk to Mathew Beauchamp for details..

Yes, this will be going on my KTX500E build  8-)

One of the many issues you  run into when building a conversion is lack of color availability.
I have been working hard on stripping off the pumpkin rind and replacing with the beautiful Kawasaki Green scheme..
When it came down to the seat, nobody made a Kawasaki color scheme for the KTM..

What to do?
Oscar from KX Guru Racing called his buddies at Guts Racing and they set me up!!!

Check this work of art out...

Not only did they nail the colors but they used a soft foam which is very important when you get older and realize that your no longer a iron man

Thanks Guts racing, I really, really, appreciate it!

I guess I should clean up the shop a bit before I post any pics... You can never tell where they may end up..

Hey sandblaster,
What powder coat color is the frame? Is there a color code for it? I've been looking at RAL-6018 and kiwi green but can't decide.

Because I'm still mocking this bike up the paint is a rattle can color that I found at Home Depot  :-D
But, when I'm ready for powder coating it will be Kiwi Green
