Kx 250 Woods Build gone sideways
« on: April 09, 2018, 04:39:16 AM »
So last month I purchased an “unfinished” project bike which was an almost complete 99 Kx250.

When I started digging up part numbers and Vin, I only have. 99 Frame, wheels, Subrame, Triples and shocks.

Bottom end is a 93 250, Cylinder and Head are 94, Pro Circuit pipe and silencer are 98. And I still need all wiring, carb and stator.

Should I be able to use any year harness, stator and carb if they’re all the same year?

I think you should be able to use a 1992 to 1997 cdi/stator/coil, have a look at the Eric Gorr tuning booklet online as know with older models the cdi will change the powerband and some are better suited to woods riding of MX!! This listing is for an aftermarket cdi but handy for getting the part numbers for a google search, id stick to an original cdi if possible.
