The old shootouts saga , for get how they place them in order , everybody different , best thing is to ride as many as possible and decide for yourself , i rode most of the 17 husky range at a ride day and from one model to another there was a difference especially in the set up , they had the 250 2t mx model there straight out of the box and the jetting was so far off it was a pig to ride i cant believe the dealer would even take it out there like that. I ride as many bikes as i can but the yamaha 250 and 450 f i put last as they feel fat and heavy and the induction noise is annoying , the rest of the brands i could live with easy , as i never have a bike that is standard anyway , i would allways get a kawi even if they were last in every shootout as they modify really well and seem to interchange parts off other models well plus the parts are fairly cheap. most of the bikes are so close in performance , just get the bike that makes you happy , them magazines are so different to each other they most likely just throw a dice.
