Ok this has gone far enough. I gotta ask this question even though I've read it all in the archives , maybe I have a unique situation.( it's not a positive thing). Anyway, I've been experiencing hard shift lately on my 98 k5.,and I'm at my wits end. I just need to say all the things I've tried and what I now plan to do to allieviate my left halfs 1 down 4 up jonze. There's nothing( well maybe not nothing) worse than getting the accelleration of your bike shoved up your..... Ok I've also got to say( might be just a coincidence) but both my 95 and 98 k5's have started doing this hard shift thing. That would lead me to think we'll d**n it's something I'm running for tranny fluid. They didn't start doing this at the same time. It was like a two week " in between " period from when #1 starts having this issue till when #2 started it. #1 is the 98. For reference sake . So I've changed the clutch plates ( all this I've done on#1. Changed the clutch plates, clutch basket , clutch pressure plate clutch boss clutch housing clutch hub, clutch berating a , springs. That didn't change any thing SOOOO, I hanged the external shift mechanism. ( mind you all these things I changed 1 by 1 and out it back together to test each time). Ok external shift mechanism, then the gear drum as well and the whole stopper for the gear drum.and the shifter. I guess it's all considered the external shift mechanism . But I broke it down into 3 different parts. Shift lever, shift shaft , gear drum.each on its own I changed and no difference still. So I split the case. I changed it all to a different transmission in the first time I opened it. The second time I changed the shift drum the pins and the forks. This wasn't a "NEW"!transmission but the on both sets the dogs gears everything , there's no damage they're clean. The shift forks are good too. All 3 sets I have. Anyhow o dint change the output shaft bearing nor did I change the bearing inside the case the clutch shaft rests on. But they sound good( no sound at all, and smooth as smooth)... Then I went for atf type f after reading that whole thing. I thought at first it was helping. But it didn't do anything either. Anybody?

Anybody?
