93 kx 125 rear caliper
« on: June 30, 2016, 12:16:36 PM »
Hey guys i need some help. Just bought my first dirt bike for cheap. It's a 93 kx 125 that I picked up for $600. It's in decent shape but it's missing the rear brake caliper assembly. I ordered one off eBay for the exact year and model that I own. My question is, how in the hell does the caliper go on? It's a two piece caliper. One piece is where the pads go and the other piece looks like a bracket with screw holes. I can't seem to figure out where the bracket bolts on to since there are no screw holes to attach it to. Does it bolt on to the rotor? Do I have the wrong caliper assembly? Please help. Thanks .

Do you have a sizeable gap in the rear wheel axle assembly? There should be a brake caliper holder which the axle runs through. Check this link.

I think I might have the wrong bracket. The one I ordered looks completely different or would I need that one you posted as well?

I deal with this sort of thing a lot...
To be sure you have what you think you have, post the 10th digit from your VIN number..

If you can't find it, look here:

Also, post some pics of your rear brake parts

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
