New a silencer for 86' KX500

Hi,

I am new to the forum. I just bought a 1986 KX500 with a new top end. Payed 2100 CAD. Bike is in good condition. Was it a good price? Also I need a new silencer.  Looking for something realtively cheap. I also have a used motorcycle store near me that might  have one. Doesn't matter if it is oem or aftermarket. All I see is for the year 88' and up. Also if you guys have any recommendations that would be much appreciated. How long between new trans and how often to clean filter? Any defects, etc. Also the little window on the side of the crankcase. Where should the oil be. Should it be in the middle, closer to the top or bottom. Thanks for any info.

Working on an 86 right now, owner got an FMF, don't know what year or even if it will fit. Just finished engine and starting to assemble frame! I'll let you know in a couple days
