I have my KX500 torn down all the way to the frame right now getting ready to build it up. The frame I have is in pretty decent shape and I would like to keep it that way. Before I start the build I am thinking to do some reinforcement mods on the frame. I will be adding some metal to the frame's steering stop to give it more surface area on the sides where it contacts the lower triple to protect the triple's stops in a hard crash. I am also thinking I will maybe add some metal to the upper muffler mount as those seem to crack pretty easy. Is there any other areas I should consider reinforcing? What areas of the frame are know for cracking issues?
