EFI KX's Fuel Tank Conversion How-To Question
« on: January 28, 2016, 09:32:55 AM »
For those of you that are converting the fuel injected kx's, how are you converting the fuel pump inside the tank to a fuel tap for the kx500's carburetor? Or are you using an older model tank with a fuel tap already on it? Thanks.

Make a 1/4" aluminum plate, drill holes to match the old fuel pump. Use the old Oring from the fuel pump. Drill and tap a barbed fitting or install a petcock off the old tank. If you use a barbed fitting you can use a hose to a CRF250 remote petcock and put it where you want.

Thanks for the offer, but I figured it out. I replicated the oem fuel pump plate and had a barb welded to the plate. My project has been done for some time. Some others may be interested though!

That's some beautiful machine work. What are you selling them for? I'm sure some others on here may be interested.
