2003/2005 KX250 wheels on 1999 KX250 will it work?
« on: December 10, 2015, 02:56:47 AM »
Right so trying to find nice aftermarket bits for my KX250 1999 is proving difficult.
Especially hubs.
Now looking on the corby kawasaki site at the hubs the bearings inside have different
Codes but on all of them the inner dimension is exactly the same.
But on some of the newer bikes the rear rim is thinner.

So is it the disc rotor and sprocket thats different fittment or is the width of the hubs
Different?
I have found some wheels in the UK one set from 2003 and one from 2005 with excel rimes and talon hubs would these fit with a little modification of the wheel spacers?

Both 2003 and 2005 use 6905 2RS bearings on the rear  both fronts use 6904 2RS the 1999 kx also uses a 6904 2RS on the front wheel also

Yep they fit but you need to get a new rear disc as the 99-02 has different bolt pattern to the 03_05 models
