so im buying a new cylinder now too they don't even want to try and bore it cause there afraid they wont be able to get the one grove out so waiting a bit longer to put her together.

nothing wrong with a crispy new jug!
check the casting around the intake and ports for excessive flaws/blockages when you get it....be a great time to massage it, before it even goes on

it wouldn't hurt to lap the top of the new cylinder real quick too, before you install the studs....just to be sure, and to be safe.
