Hi!
« on: September 04, 2015, 06:55:56 AM »
Hi all.
I just registered on here but unfortunately it may be a bit too late. I bought my 00 kx100 about 6 months ago and a few days ago it was stolen from my shed.
My bike had some unusual features and things about it that are unique and I'm pretty sure I'd be able to identify it. However I need help from an owner of a similar bike. I think I've found a similar bike for sale but with my engine fitted. I need to verify a picture for me so I can compare the one for sale to a standard kx.

ask the seller for the engine case id, becuse you want to be sure about the engine year so you dont buy the wrong parts

When I bought the bike, the kick start bolt was sheared off and I had to drill it out and tap it. I remember distinctively replacing the bolt with one from a scrap Ford focus car water pump, which had an 8mm head and a loose washer.
This other bike came up for sale locally and when I zoomed in on the pic of the side of it, it seems to have the same bolt arrangement that I had done to it.
If I could get a pic of a standard kick start lever attached to the casing I could determine if it was mine or not.

This is a zoomed in pic of the one for sale which I suspect has my engine fitted.
