1985 kx 125 problems
« on: August 25, 2015, 09:35:57 PM »
I have some problems with the 125.

put a hole in the radiator so got it welded up,  mounted radiator wrong and squashed the cdi wires onto frame DUSHH

bike ran fine for about an hour then stopped removed stator as their was a little water inside, pulled tank and radiator off that when i noticed the cdi wires all stripped and shorting out to each other.

Cut all the wires re soldered them together put bike back together new plug just for the sake of it and now it wont rev out like it used to,  I have set the stator back to where it was originally and have tried it in other positions too as it is adjustable.

What Im wondering is could I have done any damage to the CDI when the the wires shorted out?  The bike starts first kick and spark seems to be great its a new stator

Short answer.... Yes...
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
