weight difference between 98 and 99 kx250?
« on: October 06, 2015, 09:09:08 AM »
While reading up on kx models through the years I saw where the 99 model 250 supposedly had a significant weight reduction, although Ive never seen how much it was supposed to be. Since my 2000 kx250 feels heavy as a tugboat Im curious as to how much heavier the 'K' series were?

Nothing

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Lol. I saw a couple of articles tout the "significant" weight savings of the 99 :)  My 2000 feels a ton heavier than my old 97 RM250. To be fair, the kx feels a ton faster as well tho.

That bigger KX powerband weighs more of course.
