Spark plug gap can be a deceiving measurement.  If the manual states it should be a particular measurement, then I would stick with that.  Lots of testing and science-y type stuff goes into determining that gap.   :-D
Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?

i know, in my manual it says 0.5-0.6 but the engine is actully a 87 mod, so i will have to find out what it is for the 87,  what year is the manual tha said, 0.6-0.7 ?

it turned out to be 0.5 mm gap, so i tried to gap it 0.6-0.7 mm now, weird how come the 93 model need a smaller gap then the other models?
