Left Hand Rear Brake

I finally broke down and bought a hydraulic hand operator for my rear brake since I have an EFM auto clutch.  It's kind of like riding a mountain bike now with a lot more horsepower!  Seriously, the left hand rear brake gives me a lot more control over how much braking action I want and I find that I use it a lot more.  Drum brakes used to give you a lot more feel than the disk does and this really reminds me of that.

I had a left hand mounted rear brake on my Husky 390 auto and saw a guy in Dirt Bike magazine run two seperate rear brakes the same way on his KX500 auto.He ran two so when he overheated the rear brake he would go to the the second one,he must be hard on rear brakes!

The handlebar mounted brake does take some getting used to.  But then you find yourself using it a lot more.  Hell, I'm 53 years old and if I can get used to it anybody can.  The other benefit is that you don't have to shift your weight to apply the rear brake.  You have a lot greater control with your hand than you ever did with your foot.  I'll be happy to help you out with your EFM auto clutch, Doordie. :D

Apologies for dredging up an ancient thread, but this was the most applicable one found with "search".
I see Kawadougie and Mikesmith are no longer active members here.

I am considering trying a hand operated rear brake solution on a KDX.
What handlebar mounted units are available?
I don't have an autoclutch, so not sure how this can be made to work on the bars.

Ive always wanted one even with my normal clutch. I can't feel a thing through my heavy boot and foot.
Maybe someone could rig one up to a quad thumb throttle?

Someone makes a dual lever set-up with regular clutch lever and a shorty brake lever right over the top of it, I am having a hard time remembering who but I'll dig it up somewhere.

Rekluse has one that goes with their autoclutch.  See their website.

The brake is the main lever and the clutch is a minor lever.  Prolly need the reverse.
