Top Five WORST bikes you've owned
« on: June 24, 2015, 05:28:31 AM »
This one is a bit tougher because I love dirt bikes, but here we go in no particular order.

1. 1991 KX 125 - bought to race in College, but could never get a bottom end bog fixed
2. 1991 DR 350 - weighed too much and was a nightmare to start when dropped
3. 2003 CR 250 - it was one of my flips.  I thought about keeping it, but it was very alien in fit and handling
4  1984 KX 500 - Technically my dad's bike, but I rode it a lot.  Man that powerband was like a light switch and very evil. It nearly killed 15 year old 5'10" 150 lb Umberto
5. 1985 KTM 250 EXC - another of dad's bikes.  Terrible forks and left side kick.  I can barely walk with my left foot, much less start a bike.   :-D

Whew, that was harder than I thought.  Not all the bikes are necessarily terrible, I've just had some good ones over the years.  It makes it hard to come up with the bottom five.
Perhaps I have a dirt bike addiction?

03 KX 250/88 KX 525/2017 KX250F - Goliath
17 KX250F/04 KX250
04 KX 250 - Lunchbox's Bike
05 KX 125/144

1984 KX500 for the same reasons.

Sachs Madass 125- seat would slide you forward all the time. Brackets would crack from (I am guessing) specific focused harmonics. Fun bike though. Different!

1964 Parilla 125 Wildcat Scrambler. Lucas electrics. Need I say more? I am certain it had an early GPS in it as it would quit any time I got more than a mile from my house but would start right up after I pushed it home...

Maybe my Yamaha Virago 250. WAAAY underpowered for a 250. Gearshift mechanism felt like spaghetti. fun little bike otherwise. Was going to make a 60's Yamaha road racer replica out of it but decided against it as I would have had double into it for what it was worth. Sold it a month ago and made $300 on it instead.  :-D

Mid 70's Chopped Sportster I built back in the early 80's. 'Z' bars, extended forks, lowered hard tail frame, inch thick frame mounted seat, straight pipes. Looked cool! Beat me to death. Sold it about two months after I built it.

81cr450  seriously

Wanted a thread like this to help keep people away from junk. Most bikes can be "fixed", left hand kick doesn't bother me, but anything Poo-laris ruuuun . Done a bit of atv repair lately. No offense to anyone who owns one but CRAP by the bucket load. I'm vomiting on the keypad as I type this
if I only had a pair, I could actually ride this thing

& to the people I like  FYYFF
