Hi all, i recently bought my 2nd kx, this time a 2005 kx250, and through some research on it's head angle and handling issues i found some very good info on this site. Glad to be here and looking forward to swapping input stories and other b.s. with y'all!

foxx4beaver here is 1 of it

I'll have to get more pics later. It is completely stock except the bars and risers for now. 1st thing i want to do to it is get the handling straitened out, shorter linkage, maybe offset clamps. Suspension, possibly install gold valves or have the shop revalve it, and maybe do a 265 kit to it. Of course the usual stuff like tires, chain and sprockets oh and a different seat and bars for it etc. So far after a month i'm just getting myself back into shape but i really like it

nice scooter!
from what I've read/heard, an offset steering angle/clamps made the biggest improvement on the '05.

Thanks! yea i've read about the steering head angle being the culprit and i am considering making the adjustment next winter as a project as i wanted to pc the frame anyways but we'll see. I have to research more on that and offset clamps to weigh in on how i want this bike to turn out. If the clamps will do as much as adjusting the angle than i will go the bolt on route every time but, it's my understanding that the head angle is to steep on the 05-08 models. Also considered finding an 03-04(us model) frame but i have to see if that will solve my problem, and how much work if possible to change over. For now, i'm just enjoying time on the bike as i've had a 5 year absence from the sport
