KX 125/250 Clutch basket compatability
« on: May 18, 2015, 10:57:48 AM »
Hi all :)
Just wondering if the clutchbaskets are interchangable between a 94 125 and 250? I struggle here in Aus to get parts for my 125 cause theres a lot less 125 units sold here compared to the 250. I can easily source a 250 clutch or basket. from what I can see the only difference is that the holder and operating plate are 4 bolt VS 5 bolt.
This raises the issue of it becoming harder to keep an older 125 running here in aus with some crucial parts being unavailable/discontinued from kawasaki. Both Power valve levers, the one out of the RHS side case and the main lever in th housing on the front of the cyclinder being the worst of it (especialy with one of them wearing so quickly and the other one being so easy to over tighten and crack, hey I'm learning)
Thanks, Lou.

The clutch is not interchangeable on 94 125 to 250 etc, when you cant find the parts anywhere like power valve parts etc get them made , there people out there with the skill and equipment to do it , might be costly but it will keep your bike going and besides it only money  :-D
