1980 KX 125 UNI TRAK question
« on: April 18, 2015, 02:37:46 AM »
I've got the linkage apart to clean and grease. On reassembly what is the correct way to adjust the I bolts at the bottom of the links? The nut was loose on one of them and tight on the other , and also my bottom shock mount bolt was only finger tight so obviously the previous owner wasn't keeping an eye on it. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Does your linkage look like this:

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Yes it does. I'm referring to the 2 I bolts at the bottom of the links.

Ok found another diagram like that with the eye bolt in detail and apparently it's set 27 mm from the bottom of the link to the centerline of the eye.
