KX compatiblity

Just bought a 1988 kx 250  and I was wondering if anyone out there in KX land knew what was compatible as far as different years and motors, will a kx500 motor bolt into this frame? any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Jon :lol:

It wont just bolt in,but a few 500's have gone into mid '90's 250 frames so its possible,but is it worth it?
