Ford K5 Hauler
« on: November 25, 2014, 07:31:21 AM »
Hey guys, this is a pic of my 1996 Ford Extended E350 Turbo Diesel Toy Hauler.  It's stock (7.3 Turbo with E4OD trans) with the exception of the raised roof and rack.  It gets about 16-17 mpg at 70 mph, even with all the drag that rack creates.  The guy I bought it from said it got 20mpg or better before he put the roof rack on it, at 60 mph.  It's a loaded XLT with all the power options.  I built a wall in it seven feet from the  back door, so I can haul two bikes, tools, and gear in the back without having to smell gas fumes in the passenger compartment.  I installed a rear bench seat in the front, so I can seat six with the two captain's chairs.  It's a pretty sweet ride.  It just turned 253K miles, so it's almost broken in...

Perfect!  :-D
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
