Alright so after almost 2 years (22 months to be exact) it looks like I will have the final pieces to finish my bike this week.
When I bought it, it started so I'm hoping after my complete rebuild/restoration it will start again. I'm assuming it won't start first kick because everything needs to work through the system. But I need to know what things to look out for, or tips to get it to start. It's been a while. I have to start it with the choke on right?
I have a new Pro Circuit exhaust system, V-force rad valve, brand new Keihin PWK36 Quad Vent Carb, new Maxima air filter, and brand new Wiseco top end with all new gaskets.
I have the brand new GPI radiators on there so I am going to put the fluid in tonight as well as the tranny oil in the engine.
I am going to run the Castor 927 as my premix and I know I will have to open the petcock valve to get it to start.
P.S. I'm also installing the chain tonight. I got a D.I.D. ERT2 Gold and the master links pins seem to big to go through the holes on the chain to connect both ends. Am I doing something wrong? I used to do this with ease when I was 15. WTH?
