Speaking of starting gates.... I wonder why they waited so long to red flag the race?
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Speaking of starting gates.... I wonder why they waited so long to red flag the race?

because the officials had to watch the replay to determine if the rider was the reason the gate failed, like if he was up against it preventing it from falling, or if it was really a malfunction....which after watching the review, it was determined that the gate itself was to blame, and not the riders fault.

if you scroll up to the 1:30 mark...the official explains it.

I don't even think he's come in much better than a 20th place yet...I know he hasn't been inside the top 15.

Yeah I know that but how many laps did they run before they red flagged it?
6 laps?
How long does it take to review the tape?
Then, how long does it take to make the decision?
Then you have the guys out there wearing themselves out... and the other guy has less practice on the current track conditions..
I don't know, it just seems like it should have happened a bit quicker...
At least nobody had deflated balls  :-D
