She wont start
« on: October 14, 2014, 08:21:13 PM »
Im almost finished my 125 now I never tried to start the bike as the clutch cover was off when I got it. The previous owner said the bike was running but needed piston and rings.

Here is a vid she pops and cracks but wont start.  The timing is correct I have nice spark

What did I do wrong?

will the 125 at least start with the 87 250 carb just to rule out carb problem?

it should, providing it fits good in the manifold and the air boot.

What do you mean by "she let go with a big bang"
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

too many beers last night.     I did make my tool Im pretty sure i said it wouldnt be pretty.

I still cant get the flywheel off.  Is their a trick to removing stuck flywheels my 250 came off very easy compared to this 125

Can I heat up the flywheel without wrecking the magnets ??

I have used alot of force and the flywheel looks like it needs to be replaced now as too many beers and to many different pullers have taken their toll on the flywheel

heres the tool im using its a copy of the tool shown in the manual I actually bent the first one this is mark 2

Just watched your vid from post #1.
Doesn't look like you are feeding it any fuel.

Put that flywheel cover back on, get on stand and when you kick it - open the throttle all the way.   Try it.

I never heat them..
If I get on that is really stubborn I get it all set up then tighten the middle bolt really snug.
Then I take a heavy hammer and give the middle bolt a sharp hit.
If it doesn't budge, tighten the bolt some more and hit it harder, repeat as required  :-D
