Been searching for this info, nothing relevant comes up.
I've researched the fact that the steering stem bearings on an 06-12 KX250F are the same part number, well across the board for all KXs, as early as 99 as far as I'm concerned. So I'd imagine its possible to take your existing steering stem and press it into a set of modern KX250F triple clamps, and have it work on your steel frame KX. The issue I see being the steering stops on the bottom clamp of the KXF are different, for an aluminum frame, but relatively in the same position and might work as is or possibly need slight modification... it seems.
So has anyone here done this to their KX, or seen it done? I searched but couldn't find any details of how it was done.
