I'm not aware of anything aftermarket but grab a pocket knife and whittle yours up some.
There are several designs that guys here have used..
I'm not done with mine yet but working on it..

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

there are no fancy aftermarket side plates...like Sandblaster said, whittle away...
not sure what your thoughts are on the rear fender...but updating that to 2000 or newer really makes a difference in how it makes the entire bike look.
The updated rear fender isn't for everyone...some guys like the big original fender.

and I run an 03 250 front...

I quite like the droopy rear fender as it holds my registration plate and rear light at enough of an angle that I don't need extra brackets.
If it never went on the road I would have changed it to one of the modern straighter KX 250 ones by now.
As it is, its not so good looking but its about as functional as it gets.

Not the best photo but you get the idea, Obviously I've obscured the actual number on the photo.

Yea I'm updating the front and back fenders, '08 250 fenders. new plastics all around just to freshen it up. none of my friends can believe i got one haha. they say i have more balls than brains  :-D, which is okay with me haha

Also i noticed some gouging on the subframe on the side with the chain, and the bracket on the frame for the exhaust underneath the tank was snapped off, is any of that fixable?

there's several threads on both those issues...if you use the "search" option, you'll get a ton of info on fixes...a lot of good ideas and ingenuity!...

go to the 2nd page in this one, and you'll see how I did my subframe....

No, they are natural black.
Can't remember where they came from.
Every time I get a KX500 in I strip off what I want to keep 8-)

UFO?
