Clutch Cover
« on: July 12, 2014, 03:55:11 AM »
Hi

Do you have to remove the water pump cover when you remove or install the clutch cover on a 03 500?  Not that it's I a big deal to do, but I just fixed that leak before I noticed the clutch cover. Is there any thing else that's involved with removing the clutch cover?  It seems straightforward.

Thanks

You do not. I use a slightly curved piece of material (small wire) to rotate the impeller until the water pump drive gear aligns with the crank gear. Most of the time though I have been lucky and with some finesse and got the side cover on without the wire or removing the water pump side cover. Good luck!
