John don,t hold back on the info you be doing the world a favour in the 2 stroke side of things ,show some of the companies a thing or two.  Most guys would not attempt this any way ,most likely get a pro to do it like you blokes?

Soooo when can I come take it for a test ride?
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

These are just some pics we had and some showing the carby AFA we built.
The 2012 KX450 donor we used was a brand new bike  and then stripped and modified! , we will post some pics of the progress! , we have fitted all components and have spark and injection using the KX450F injection system!

So I believe I have read somewhere that this won't work due to the mixed fuel. I hope you are going to prove that wrong.
What did you run into mounting the rotor and stator? The pic looks like it bolted right up, but I can't believe it could be that easy.
Motorrad's question: The mapping???  2X the firing.

Hi guys
still in development!, will keep ya posted with updates! yeah the flywheel /stator was a work of art to get operational.
Other paying work has kept us busy so the KX is on the back burner for the moment!
cheers!

i was about to tackle this on mine until i decided not to. had the same throttle body and all.

looks like you know what you are doing already, but look into some of the bashee forums and rz350 (?) forums, there have been several 2 strokes done over to EFI.

look into the Microsquirt EFI system. its by far the smallest and most customizable. also not overly expensive.
you'll need to make a bracket for a hall effect sensor inside the ignition cover to determine crank position and speed. that will feed into the MS.
to tune it correctly you'll need a bung welded into the pipe for an O2 sensor and those things self destruct after not to long when they get any contaminants on them (oil from premix) so it should be hit or miss there on if it will last long enough to tune.

what are you going to use for a battery/charging cap?

Thanks for the input!, we have used the original kx 450 stator and flywheel which provides the charge  required to
run the efi system
Will look into those other systems, but for now we have put it on hold due to other work in the shop!
if anyone here in OZ is looking for a good online Motorcycle store check our site  bargainbikegear.com.au
  thanks again John

Very nice looking mod I'm sure a lot of guys here would love to see what they could do with some efi mapping. I for one would buy a kit to do this in a heartbeat
