Here Is some before and after pics of my 2000 kx500 I bought in Alamosa Colorado while on the way back from skiing in Durango. I hauled it on that carrier all the way back to south central Texas because my bed was full of ski stuff. I completely disassembled it and cleaned it. And when I say cleaned it I mean I polished every nut and bolt. Painted the frame and clear coated with Spray-max 2K. This is some very good clear-coat. I Replaced the leaking fork seals and replaced the fork bushings as well. Inspected and repacked all bearings on the swing arm and rear shock. Replaced the counter shaft sprocket seal because it was leaking like crazy. Installed a new Renthal gold chain. I replaced all of the plastic. I used a 2005 KX250 front fender, rear fender is stock kx500. I put on new decal works graphics and number backgrounds. Repainted stock pipe with black metallic high temp paint. put on new gripper seat cover. Repacked the FMF silencer as it was full of carbon. Re-jetted carb for my altitude. Replaced both radiators. It had a fresh top end so I did nothing to the motor. Replaced the wore out stock clutch perch and lever with a new pro-taper lever and perch. New grips and Acerbis hand guards. I paid $1200.00 for it......
