expansion chamber for 1990-91 kx250
« on: June 29, 2014, 12:46:48 AM »
I am restoring a 91 kx250, looking for an expansion chamber to fit. What years will work and where is a good source for parts. I have looked on ebay and saw a couple, just wondering if other years will fit. Seems like 90-91 models were the same. Thanks for any info! Don

yup...90-91 are the "H" models.
Pro Circuit and FMF are listing them discontinued, but it could be worth calling both of them to see if there's anything they could do...just don't get your hopes too high.
You could try PSI and DG also...but if the other two biggest names in exhaust aren't making any, it'll probably be another dead-end.

There are small/private guys out there that make pipes too, specifically for guys such as yourself that have an older bike and can't get one from anywhere else...take a look here...it's an older thread, so not sure how reliable some of these sources are...

Other than that, you're on the right track by checking e-bay frequently.
Excuse me, ma'am...but you've got extremely nice legs!!!...what time do they open???                                                                                                               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8tCgN3aryQ

It may take some time but Fox is right. Save your ebay search and check the box for notifications and they will send new listings to your email.

I needed a really rare stock pipe for my 87 250 and found it within 4 months. Less than 5 months later I found a PC Platinum pipe in excellent condition.

The silencer was tougher to find so I bought a used Turbine Core II off an 02 Suzuki and with a little cut and weld it's working fine.
Where the Hell is "Easy Street" ?
