So, long story short, I had what (i think) was a 1989 kx500 frame, with a 2000 engine, and right now I have an 1996 500.
I kept the '89?? rim to use with a dune paddle.
The '96 has an excel takasago 18" rim.
The '89?? has a stock 19" rim. (As far as i know)
The '96 excel rim's bearings are locked up.
The '89?? stock rims old bearings and seals exploded (literally).
I can't seem to find any information about the interchangeability of the Kx500 rims.
Do I need a special set of bearing and seals for excel rims?
What years are the bearing/seal/sleeve set up the same on kx500 rims?
Any help would be appreciated!
