big bores and stokers
« on: February 03, 2005, 07:20:36 AM »
I want to know all my options for my '86 KX500. I've got to buy a crank anyway so why not a stroker? I had my cylinder sleeved with cast iron, but have been told that it may not be the best route for consistent power. My crank was bad so it was vibrating excessively.Noncounterbalanced motorcycle engines tend to vibrate when used in a quad anyway. What I am wondering is what big bore and/or stokers are available and if balanced, will it vibrate more than stock?I need lots of torque and little vibes for my 4wheeler application. They say the CRF's make between50 and55 horsepower withlots of torque. I need to surpass these figures but reliably and with the least vibration. I love the site and it is awsome to be able to pic KX minds.
