"New" KX500SR Test

While surfing the Net I found this test.
Have fun, althou its hard to read.

You might like this one then, the bloke who owned it told me it was an ex Dave Thorpe factory KX500 engine which sounds about right as I can remember reading about his bike in about 1989 or so.

It looks like a special engine. Wasn't that one used for hillgliming UK Style??
I've been reading the test now, it makes me yelous and want to have it!!

I'm planning to buy a RMZ450 08 or 09 for the costs over racing a 500.
In holland you can't find a good K5, and buying a old engine for rebuilding and putting it in a 250/450 frame
just costs to much for me :x :x
but a man has to have dream in his live :-)

Its one of the SR 500 engines that used to only have four gears but the owner put another gear in there, yes its setup for tarmac hillclimb sprints.
