e-line pipe guard
« on: February 17, 2014, 11:37:05 AM »
For a while, I've known that e-line made a carbon pipe guard for the Pro Circuit pipe.  I am ready to replace my gnarly desert and was leaning toward the PC because they're apparently the best all-around pipe for the K5 and because I can get a nice looking and tough guard for it.  Now that I'm ready to buy, it appears that they're not selling them anymore.

Does anyone know if they're still available?  If so, I'm a buyer.

On a different note, I have an e-line 200W stator that I'm getting ready to e-bay if anyone here is interested.

By the way, HOWDY Y'ALL.  I'm not new to this site but had to change my user name because I hadn't posted forever and no longer knew the password or had access to the original e-mail.

Been loving this site for probably about ten years now.

Howdy Ryan...
I live 15 minutes away from Kevin Hines house/shop...he really doesn't have much involvement with e-line anymore, and as a result, the company and quality has suffered some.
Probably be better off looking for an alternative...since they don't even list one for the K5 any more.

It's not an e-line, but if you have any fiberglass/Kevlar skills, you can make one quite easily with KXcam22s' instructions.
If you've worked with it before it'll be a piece of cake....I had the mis-fortune of working for Hinckley Yachts in Trenton, ME several years ago, and got to play with it a number of times...it stinks, messy, sticky...but relatively easy to work with if you're prepared.
And those universal aluminum ones suck, and look horrible!!

There are other companies that make carbon fiber guards...but finding one that's still making them for the 500 is gonna be slim pickins.

Yes, I've seen that write-up and I may have to do that, but with my propensity for picking up projects at a much faster rate than finishing them, if it's available and works well, I have no interest in re-inventing the wheel.  I'm currently in the middle of a massive sell-off of unfinished projects.

Anyone in the market for an RD350 with NOS DG swinger and heads?
