New member 2001 engine in 2006 dvx quad frame
« on: January 30, 2014, 01:03:13 PM »
Hi my name is Cody. I am new to the site but have read a lot of the post. I put a 2001 kx500 motor in my 2006 dvx400 chassis. It worked great until the bottom end popped a seal and took the cylinder with it. I have a 540 ported and polished cylinder I'm getting some time next month and I will get it back together.  I gotta figure out how to upload pictures from my phone and I will..

Hello and welcome to the forum Cody.
That's quite a interesting combination.
I'd love to see some pics when you get the engine going again.
If you have questions, post them up as there is a wealth of info available.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

sounds like a cool project...those DVX's are pretty fun stock...should be down right nasty with a 540 2T!
